The interfacing of a circuit to generate WALTZ‐16 decoupling pulse trains with a JEOL FX series NMR spectrometer is possible for any instrument which has a 0°/180° phase shifter control line. The use of the decoupler gives a reduction in sample heating and line width improvements.
