The 4 J ( 19 F 19 F) spin—spin coupling constants in some fluoroallyl cations are discussed. The through‐space contribution to the total spin—spin coupling constant for proximate 19 F nuclei is obtained, and the dependence of this contribution on the internuclear distance is defined.
