15 N NMR shielding data are reported for six 3‐hydroxyindazole derivatives and compared with the results of INDO/S‐SOS shielding calculations which are used for assignments. The position of tautomeric equilibrium was found to be solvent dependent and to be proportional to the Gutmann acceptor number of the solvent employed.
