Conducting cylinders are reconstructed from the multistatic, multifrequency, and multiincidence data of the scattered fields represented by the summation of their angular propagating modes. Physical optics approximation is assumed in the formulation of the reconstruction of the object shape function. Steps to obtain optimum data points are shown for numerical reconstruction examples of elliptic and rectangular conducting cylinders.
