The evolution of the amplitude‐modulated and phase‐modulated soliton‐pulse train in the time and frequency domains under transmission control is numerically investigated. Some discussion and interpretation about the DTS effects are presented. Also some useful conclusions are obtained. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
