The mutual coupling between two probe‐fed circular microstrip antennas computed using the generalized transmission‐line model (GTLM) theory is presented. Theoretical results of the E‐ and H‐plane mutual coupling coefficients are calculated and compared with the measured data. Effects of the substrate loss tangent on the mutual coupling are also described. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
