A miniaturization technique is described, based on multiple function assignments to a single component or a small set of discrete components. This approach provides considerable substrate reduction without compromising electrical performance. The effectiveness of the technique is illustrated with a miniaturized L‐band LNA designs of outstanding electrical performance. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
