A system formed by a cascade connection of meander‐line strip grating surfaces that rotates the polarization plane of a linearly polarized wave is reported and measured. Reflectivity measurements of the system shaped on a reflector‐backed metallic ground plane have shown reflectivity levels smaller than –20 dB over the 10.5–17‐FHz band. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons.
