A suppressed carrier modulator with compensation to individual constellation points, based on a reflective switching 180° hybrid coupler configuration, is described. The design minimizes modulated signal parasitic phase and amplitude errors by tuning opposing signal states in the presence of physical fabrication dissimilarities. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons. Inc.
