We report the reduction factor in velocity of a meander coplanar transmission line on dielectric substrates. A simple analysis of this device that can be used to reduce the size of microwave integrated circuits has been carried out by using CAD packages. A size‐reduction factor of approximately 4–5 has been obtained. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
