We present the dynamic simulation results of the Doppler spectra of targets containing rotating parts based on first‐principle electromagnetics computation. Our simulation examples include an inlet duct with a rotating compressor and a model helicopter with rotating blades. Such simulation results allow a detailed interpretation of the various scattering phenomenologies for radar target identification applications. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
