We propose a quadratic polynomial expression for the C‐V characteristic of the nonlinear capacitor of the LC ladder network and investigate the soliton propagation in such networks using a modified Korteweg‐de Vries (MKdV) equation. The MKdV equation has been solved by a novel technique which is based on the Fourier‐series analysis. Our theoretical results are in good agreement with experiment. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
