In this article, under the quasi‐TEM assumption, through an exact electromagnetic field analysis, we give an analytic solution for the current density inside the conductors of a lossy circular two‐wire transmission line, and finally obtain the exact expressions for the ac resistance and internal inductance at an arbitrary frequency. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
