In this article the method of lines combined with the generalized spectral‐domain immittance approach is used as a full‐wave analysis to the general structure of coplanar waveguides. Numerical examples show the validity of this new method. It can also be used to analyze multilayered or multiregion structures. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
