A variational procedure is proposed to accurately analyze the electrical quasi‐TEM parameters of coplanar waveguides, taking into account finite‐extent as well as semiinfinite lateral ground planes. The procedure leads to accurate calculations and allows comparison with results already presented for coplanar waveguides. Data for geometries incompletely analyzed in the technical literature are provided.
