Theoretical results on a double serial amplified recirculating delay line are presented. Its application as filter is emphasized, showing a wide flexibility of design by appropriate choices of its main parameters: loop length, gain, and coupling ratio of the couplers. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
