A five‐element Chebyshev low‐pass filter having high roll off, built using coplanar waveguide open circuit stubs for the capacitive elements, is investigated. Passband ripple within 1.5 dB and a stop‐band rejection of more than 45 dB is achieved. Comparison of the predicted and experimentally measured results is presented and the agreement is good. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
