A longitudinal radiating slot cut in a broad wall of a dielectric filled rectangular waveguide is analyzed rigorously. Pertinent coupled integral equations for the aperture electric field of a thick wall slot are solved by the method of moments. Numerical results are presented for the slot characteristics over a range of permittivity values of the dielectric. Shunt admittance representation is found to be poor for higher values of the dielectric permittivity. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
