Here we study electromagnetic properties of thin layers of novel pseudochiral synthetic materials, described by bianisotropic constitutive relations. Approximate boundary conditions are given to model plane layers and to simplify electromagnetic analysis. Properties of waves in a strip line on a two‐layer ferrite‐pseudochiral substrate are studied and examples of prospective uses of pseudochiral composites are suggested. © 1993 John Wiley & sons, Inc.
