Parameter trade‐off for minimizing high‐speed pulse distortion on a microstrip line is investigated. The sensitivity of physical parameters to conductor loss, dielectric loss, and inflection frequency is first studied and then summarized in a compact and easy‐to‐use format. The results of this work will provide designers with simple and effective guidelines for designing microstrip lines with a reduced output signal distortion © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
