The dyadic Green's function for an open single microstrip line and a coupled stripline, printed on a homogeneous anisotropic substrate characterized by both its biaxial permittivity and permeability tensors, is rigorously formulated in the Fourier‐transformed domain. The dispersion properties of these transmission lines are examined for different material parameters and several sizes of the geometry. The numerical results show that the addition of the magnetic anisotropy to the substrate material has a significant influence on the propagation characteristics of the microstrip transmission line.
