Cylindrical striplines and microstrip lines have recently been investigated due to their applications as feed networks of patch antennas on curved surfaces. This letter analyzes the broadside coupled cylindrical suspended microstrip lines using conformal mapping technique. Closed‐form expressions for even‐ and odd‐mode characteristic impedances are obtained. This analysis can also be extended to warped broadside coupled suspended cylindrical microstrip lines.
