In this article antipodal Stokes parameters shift keying (ASPSK) performance is analyzed when a postdetection filter is used before decision. This baseband processing allows high insensitiveness to phase noise to be achieved, so that the system can work with a limited penalty even when the laser linewidth is comparable with the bit rate.
