A theoretical analysis of general n coupled transmission lines in an inhomogeneous medium is presented. Explicit solutions for the properties of the coupled‐line system, including the case where all the lines have the same characteristic impedance, are derived. Results for two and three coupled lines are found in agreement with previously published results.
