An improved singular integral equation (SIE) technique is proposed which can be used for the analysis of finlines, microstrip lines, coplanar transmission lines, etc. The concepts of regular solution of the SIE and generalized characteristic equation are introduced. Numerical results show that it is an efficient and accurate method.
