The design and performance of a planar integrated 20 GHz receiver in a combined slotline and coplanar waveguide technique on PTFE substrate material is descirbed. The receiving antenna is performed as a Vivaldi aerial, for down‐conversion a balanced mixer circuitry with silicon low barrier diodes is applied, and the local oscillator is realized in a slotline technique using a GaAs MESFET.
