In this paper a rigorous theoretical analysis of H‐plane waveguide Y‐junction circulators with partial‐height ferrite post and metallic matching disk is presented. By using the field matching method, various modes in the ferrite post are calculated identified and discused in detail. A series of curves, data, and conclusions which are very useful for the design of practical circulators are obtained. Experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical results.
