Abstract A simplified mathematical synthesis of dual reflectors, based on geometrical optics (GO), is presented. In this method, the reflector surfaces are divided into small sections, and each section is assumed to be locally planar. This assumption greatly simplifies the mathematics of reflector synthesis and closed‐form solutions are obtained.
