The even and odd mode impedances are determined for the case of a structure consisting of elliptic bars located symmetrically between two infinite parallel plates with a periodic spacing along the width of the parallel plates using conformal transformation. Different compression ratios of the elliptic configuration of the center conductor are considered along with special cases like horizontal strip, circular bar, and vertical strip. The coupling between two adjacent conductors has been determined as a function of the dimensions of the center conductor for different spacings between the conductors. The results of the present analysis are compared with some of those special cases available in the literature.
