A resonant strip made of high‐temperature YBa 2 Cu 3 O 6.5 + x with x < 0.5 superconductor was designed and tested in a X‐band (8‐12 GHz) waveguide. At room temperature no significant resonance was observed. A resonance appeared near 10.68 GHz at low temperature. The loaded Q was measured to be 750, comparable to that of a copper strip.
