Finite‐element matrices for loss calculation of a dominant quasi‐TEM mode propagating along a uniform transmission line are given. These matrices refer to Nth‐order polynomial expansions of the field and are independent of the shape of the triangular element. The dielectric and conductor losses are calculated using a perturbational approach.
