The paper presents the design of a combined antenna, optimized in numerical calculations to radiate high‐power bipolar pulses with a duration of 0.5 ns. According to the results of the calculations, a compact antenna with the dimensions of 60 × 65 × 55 mm 3 (width × height × length) was made. The influence of a high‐voltage insulator position relative to the antenna input on the matching band of the antenna with the coaxial feeder is shown. In the absence of an isolator, the matching band is in the range of 0.98–9.33 GHz. The antenna efficiency by the peak electric field strength and the energy efficiency are equal to 0.75–0.8 and 0.9, respectively.
