In this article, experimental demonstration in the X‐band of a flat reflector backed dielectric lens is reported. Equivalence between the reflector‐lens and parabolic reflector of equivalent cross‐section is shown by comparing their radiation characteristics. The reflector‐lens is also compared with a reflectarray resonating at 10 GHz, and their radiation patterns show good match at this frequency.
