An elliptical microstrip antenna for ultrawideband applications in terahertz (THz) frequency range is proposed. It comprises a microstrip feedline and a partial rectangular ground plane. It has an operating bandwidth of 0.46‐5.46 THz and a peak realized gain of 12 dB. It is simulated by using both high‐frequency structure simulator (HFSS) and Computer Simulation Technology Microwave Studio (CST MWS) simulators. It has distorted omnidirectional radiation patterns across the entire band of operation.
