In this paper, we propose to achieve a high efficient polarization convertor based on spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP). The proposed polarization convertor is realized by a dielectric blade with a metallic pattern on one side. Spatial dispersion modulation is considered by designing the pattern in y‐direction while keeping free space in x‐direction. Meanwhile, the y‐polarized incident wave is well coupled as SSPP mode. Therefore, the circular polarization (CP) conversion is provided regarding to the direction of the incident waves. A frequency bandwidth of 52.7% is obtained for right to left CP while left to right polarization conversion is adopted in a 23% bandwidth. The fabricated prototype of the proposed structure is provided to verify the simulated results.
