This article focuses on low complexity implementation of CSRZ‐DQPSK transmitter at optical network unit and remote generation of 60 GHz MM wave for wireless access. A 60 GHz signal is generated with a simple digital circuit comprising of XOR gate and a time delay unit. This approach eliminates the need of an amplifier or RF source at the ONU. For a data rate of 20 MZM scheme and low complexity 2 and 1 MZM configurations. Simulations are carried out to evaluate the performance of 60 GHz remote carrier generation and digital transmission under three different transmitter schemes.
