A low‐profile antenna with an antenna gain of 6.80 dBi at 8.40 GHz is presented. This antenna radiates vertical polarization with a unidirectional beam pattern in the horizontal plane which is parallel to the ground plane. Furthermore, a monopole array antenna model is used for verification of the antenna mechanism.
