In this letter, a novel low profile antenna array with high isolation performance is proposed. The antenna realizes a low profile of 0.1λ 0 by using artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) as the reflector. The antennas are compactly arranged on the AMC surface with a space of 0.5λ 0 . Two rows of metal through holes are placed in the middle of the AMC to prevent surface wave from propagating, thereby the coupling between the antennas is reduced. Simultaneously, isolation between the antennas is increased by more than 10 dB. And the prototype of the antenna array is fabricated and measured. Finally, the low profile antenna array with high isolation performance is verified by the simulated results and the measured results.
