The manufacture and characterization of highly efficient smart antenna with stretchable behavior for C band wireless applications is described. The smart antenna uses stretchable substrate as well as stretchable patch. Ag elastomer is used as conductive and ethyl vinyl acetate is used as dielectric substrate for elastic applications. The exactness in antenna manufacture is achieved by utilizing corelDraw software. It is shown that, frequency reconfigures by varying the strain and can withstand up to 25% strain with relatively good efficiency. Furthermore, the results indicate that the antenna parameters with respect to no strain, 10% strain and 23% strain are simulated using HFSS and are found to be in match with the measured results.
