A wide band flexible substrate based metamaterial is presented. The metamaterial is fabricated on photo paper using conductive nanoparticle ink targeting flexibility applications. The metamaterial structure shows a wide double negative region of 1.848 GHz (8.298–10.146 GHz). The transmission coefficient of the proposed metamaterial has been measured and verified with simulated one. The perceptible novelties of the proposed work are its simplicity, cost effectiveness, and flexibility with covering wide X‐band microwave spectra.
