Abstract A design of a terahertz (THz) quasi‐diagonal horn antenna with multistepped isosceles trapezoid slots based on the micromachining technology is presented. The radiation patterns are designed to be with high Gaussian coupling efficiency. The radiation patterns, VSWR, gain are measured, and good agreements with the simulated results are found.
