This article presents a dual‐band (DB) impedance transformer with novel parallel‐stubs‐loaded structure. The proposed transformer consists of a traditional single band matching network (SBMN) and a DB stubs‐loaded transmission‐line network in series. The DB stubs‐loaded MN features an open‐stub and a shorted‐stub in parallel with total length λ 1 /4 (λ 1 is guided wavelength from lower f 1 of two matching frequencies). The considered load has frequency‐dependent complex impedance at two uncorrelated frequencies ( f 1 , f 2 ). Design equations are presented, and required circuit parameters are all obtained adopting derived analytical design formula. Good agreements between simulation and measurement are observed.
