Based on meander split loop resonator (MSLR), dual band filter with wide bandwidth, low insertion loss and compactness is investigated and fabricated. Embedded spiral coupled line (ESCL) is added not only to enhance coupling between two split stubs, but to adjust transmission zeros (TZs) and form dual band response. Through transformation among ABCD ‐matrix, Y ‐matrix, and S ‐matrix, TZs of proposed filter can be analyzed. Utilizing direct connection of feed line and MSLR, low insertion loss is achieved.
