Abstract The 1 064 nm lasing, and 1 074 nm, and 1  084 nm luminescence are observed in a Nd:YVO 4 DPSSL along with their corresponding SHG. Fundamental transitions are analyzed in terms of Stark effect. The relative intensity of the 1 064 nm laser line is an order of magnitude bigger than the luminescence lines.
