We present a new fractal slot edge antipodal Vivaldi antenna (AVA). When compared to a conventional AVA, it simultaneously extends the low‐end bandwidth limitation, mitigates the side lobe level, and increases the main lobe gain. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
