This article presents theoretical design of dual band unequal power divider based on coupled line structure. The structure consists of two coupled line segments along with five transmission line segments used to satisfy unequal matching characteristic. The isolation is achieved using a circuit, which is a combination of inductor, capacitor, and resistor. Design equations of proposed power divider and the circuit providing isolation are based on circuit representation of ideal transmission lines. Simulation and measured results are given to verify the theoretical design equations. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 58:953–956, 2016
