A thin, single substrate layered, dual directionally isolated band Meander line antenna (MLA) with connected ends, widened near the feed area, loaded by a U‐slot in the patch layer, and by a modification from complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) in the ground layer, is presented for WLAN applications. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
