A dual‐wideband bandstop filter using stepped impedance coupled‐lines is proposed. Due to the couplings of the coupled‐lines, two transmission zeros are introduced into each stopband, leading to enhanced selectivity and extended rejection bandwidths. To validate the proposed structure, one prototype filter has been fabricated and measured. The results show the stopbands with −10 dB fractional bandwidth of 83% and 30% at 1.2 GHz and 4.2 GHz, respectively. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 57:2304–2306, 2015
