First experimental mm‐wave imaging results, acquired with a frequency scanning horn antenna array, are presented. The antenna achieves a circular pattern that scans more than 30° in the E‐plane. Images acquired with this configuration are presented, demonstrating the benefits of these kinds of frequency scanning antennas for reduced cost imaging applications. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
