Compact dual‐band diversity antenna for handheld devices is presented. Two orthogonal antennas are designed in LTE bands: 790–862 MHz, 2.5–2.69 GHz. To enhance isolation, a neutralization line is inserted. Aiming size reduction, we propose a structure integrable into mobile phone. Good antennas performances are obtained near a human model. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 56:2795–2799, 2014
